Sharon Mitchell, the new Head of Care at Whitecliffe House, has noticed big changes as she gets to grips with her latest post.
Sharon spent eight hectic years in Birmingham working as an independent trouble-shooter for various care homes in the region.
“I used to go in and put systems in place to promote high standards of care,” she explained.
It’s been a big change to take up her new role at our Blandford Forum care home.
“I love it. It’s a delight to come to work,” she said. “The staff are wonderful, and I just want to support them as much as I can.
“Instead of sorting out major problems like in my last job, here I’m trying to maintain the already high standards.”
Sharon, who trained as a clinical nurse in Worcester, took the latest step in her career to give herself more time to care for her mother.
In what spare time she can find, she enjoys mountain biking, swimming, films and meeting up with her friends.
