After 13 years as Home Manager at Braemar Lodge in Salisbury, Alison Bremner has switched posts to become our very first Recruitment Support Manager.
This new role acts as a bridge to help strengthen links between our Senior Recruitment Advisors Erin Rudkin, Sara Hegarty and Alice Winney and our 21 homes.
Alison says it is an ideal opportunity to apply her extensive experience of home management to support the recruitment team’s work in ensuring we continue to attract the best staff to deliver outstanding care for our residents and their families.
“I bring a level of awareness of what the Home Managers need and how an effective recruitment strategy can support life in the homes,” she says.
Although based at Colten House in Ringwood, Alison spends much of her three-day-a-week role visiting the homes.
“I feel very happy and privileged to have this new position,” she says. “I love coming to head office and it is great to catch up with colleagues at our homes, especially after the past two years when it was so difficult to see people.”
Alison describes her new role as the latest ‘adventure’ in a ‘nomadic’ career that has embraced not only care home management but nursing around the world, freelance travel writing, and, appropriately enough, working for a recruitment agency.
Alison lives in West Wiltshire with her husband and has two adult children, a granddaughter and another grandchild due early in the New Year.
