We have welcomed back a familiar face as the new Home Manager at Court Lodge in Lymington.
From 2009 to 2016, Rebecca Hannam was Home Manager at Kingfishers in New Milton, commissioning the home and leading it to 100% occupancy within its first eight months.
But it was at Court Lodge that Rebecca first began her career in care as a 17-year-old Healthcare Assistant in 1997.
She went on to complete a biomedical science degree at Kings College, part of the University of London, while based at Guy’s Hospital in Southwark.
It was also during her time in London that she completed a Diploma in Healthcare Management and later worked as an Operations Manager for a charity running care homes.
While the break after Kingfishers gave Rebecca the opportunity for some precious family time, she has nevertheless missed care home management.
“It’s what I enjoy doing,” she says. “It’s full-on being a Home Manager but I am freshly energised and already enjoying getting to know the residents at Court Lodge and the nice team.”
Outside work, Rebecca lives in Lymington and enjoys family dog walks along the coast and in the New Forest with her husband, eight-year-old son and six-year-old daughter.
