The new Home Manager of our Dorset home Castle View is a familiar face to residents, families and colleagues alike.
Ashika Reddy has gained successive promotions in 13 years at the popular Poundbury home, rising from Nurse to Clinical Lead.
She is delighted with her latest career step and says her goals are to keep up the home’s high standards of care and strengthen residents’ involvement in the area’s community life including fundraising for local charities.
“I’m really enjoying my new role,” says South African Ashika. “It’s been an easy transition and I’m very positive about the home and the staff. Residents are the heart of what we do and I aim to share my passion for resident care and involving them in the running of the home.”
Ashika has taken over the reins from long-standing Home Manager Sarah Harper, who is now in charge at Abbey View in Sherborne.
Ashika says: “Our residents were naturally sad to hear that Sarah was going but I feel they are reassured about the change. They’ve certainly known me for a long time.”
Ashika lives in Dorchester with husband Mayan and 15-year-old daughter Natania, herself a familiar face at Castle View as she helps out in the domestic team during school holidays.
Outside work Ashika is an active church member and loves cooking, especially South African dishes.
