Lorraine Cooke has worked at all levels of Learning & Development in the private, public and third sectors for over 30 years.
Barclays Bank, Schlumberger, QA Training, RSPCA and, most recently, technology and security specialist QinetiQ are among the employers on her CV.
Having spent time some years ago at a software firm serving the care industry, she had been considering a return when she spotted our advert for a Learning & Development Business Partner.
“I always wanted to get back into care as I liked the people so much,” Lorraine says. “When I did my research on Colten Care I found it was a strong family business.
“I was looking for a company with a set of genuine values that aligned to my own. Having started, I know Colten Care are true to their values. It is such a caring organisation with a really positive team who are very proud of what they do.”
Lorraine is responsible for supporting the statutory and developmental training at our New Forest homes Belmore Lodge, Court Lodge, Woodpeckers and Kingfishers, and Dorset homes Castle View, Abbey View and Newstone House.
“My goal is to add value, bring measurable ideas and support the vision to be the number one care provider and employer,” she says.
Born in Woking, Lorraine lives in the New Forest and enjoys walks there and on the coast. A keen dancer in the past, she says a return to that activity may have to wait a little longer as she fully recovers from a broken ankle.
