New Operations Manager Jo Pattison says the role is everything she thought it would be – and more.
Jo joined Colten Care in January and has hit the ground running, devouring the workings of different departments and embarking on a packed schedule of visits to our many homes.
She said: “I knew as soon as I arrived that I was going to absolutely love this role and meeting people across the organisation and the wonderful home teams has confirmed that.”
Jo continued: “Colten Care certainly lives up to its reputation for beautiful homes offering exceptional standards of care.
“My main focus as Operations Manager will be on boosting occupancy and recruitment in the wake of the Covid pandemic. This will include working with homes and our other departments to offer taster days and visits, so we can showcase our strengths, both as an employer and also as a wonderfully safe and supportive environment for our residents.”
Jo is no stranger to the workings of successful care homes. In recent years she has taken on the home manager role for several under-performing homes across the region and steered them back to Good status.
She explained: “It is extremely satisfying to be able to step in and help a home improve everything from its occupancy to its relationship with the community.”
When she is not at work, Jo loves being outdoors with her husband Mike and children Max, 12, and Sophie, 10.
She said: “I grew up by the sea and still live close to it. I absolutely love the adrenaline rush of cold water swimming.”
