Firing up the festivities for Burns Night

Burns Night was observed across many of our homes, with residents enjoying poetry recitals, haggis, the skirl of the bagpipes and even a mini version of the Highland Games.

Avon Cliff in Bournemouth was among those marking the occasion with traditional festivities. From left, resident Maureen McTernghan, volunteer Keith Tomkins and resident June Hayward raise a glass to the bard as chef Ben Salkeld ceremoniously sets the haggis alight.

At Avon Reach in Mudeford and Newstone House in Sturminster Newton, residents received visits from kilted pipers.
