Cuppas raise pots of money for Macmillan

Macmillan Coffee Time
COFFEE TIME. Staff and residents at our Lymington home, Linden House, enjoy their coffee and cakes for Macmillan. Front, from left: Dorothy Ilston, Emily Copeland, Frances Evans and Isaac Curtis. Seated behind are Mandy Stevens and Lin Lee.

We have raised £2,700 to help people living with the impact of a cancer diagnosis.
At all 19 of our homes we invited relatives, friends and community contacts to join us for the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

As well as cuppas and homemade cakes baked by our chefs, we marked the annual fundraiser with live music, quizzes, raffles and bring-and-buy stalls.

Karen Burdon, Activities Manager, said: “It was a wonderful opportunity to open our doors and welcome friends old and new. Our residents really value being part of the community and we all enjoy raising money for good causes. Everyone at Colten Care says a huge thank you to those who came in, got behind the day and helped us raise money.”

The coffee morning initiative, something we support every year, is part of a global campaign by the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
