Commitment is key

Welcome to your spring Chronicle featuring news and events at our homes.

We highlight the April opening of Wellington Grange in Chichester. We’re all very excited about what is our 20th home and the first in Sussex. It’s a project we’ve been committed to for many years. You can read all about it in our feature ‘All ready to play our part’, including the thoughts of the ‘TV doctor’, Hilary Jones.

Talking of commitment, we report on national recognition for Carol Martin, our Domestic Supervisor at Abbey View in Sherborne. Carol has been named Best Care Housekeeper at the National Care Awards for her determination to keep everything spick and span during the home’s current refurbishment. Congratulations Carol!

For a further taste of life at Colten Care, I encourage you to browse through our latest Year in the Life picture book, available online at www.ColtenCare.co.uk/photobook2015 and in hard copy in the receptions of all our homes.

Designed as a pictorial record of 2015, the book reflects life in all our homes and features charity events, fundraising activities, excursions and community visits. It really does show the strong bonds between our residents and staff and our active commitment to involve families, friends, volunteers and community partners in our homes.

You can receive more information on individual homes by joining the mailing list for our quarterly community newsletters. If that’s of interest, please speak with your Home Manager, or send an email to marketing@ColtenCare.co.uk and we will add you to the list.
