Braemar Lodge has won the Best Garden title at our annual gardening awards for the second year running.
Announcing the judges’ decision, our Head Gardener Charles Hubberstey praised the work of Braemar gardener Lesley King and others at the home including the residents’ garden club.
Charles said: “It’s a fantastic result with thanks to Lesley and the whole home, including the residents, who make this such a special place.”
Runner-up for Best Garden was St Catherines View in Winchester which, explained Charles, “has really matured into an interesting, well used and vibrant garden. We thank gardener Emily Truemangreinke and all the staff who have helped this happen.”
The award for Best Floral Entrance went to Avon Cliff in Bournemouth. Charles said: “Many people have said how the frontage of this home catches the eye while driving into Bournemouth. It has dazzling bedding displays and well kept raised beds and trees.”
