Our Graphic Designer Josefine Nilsson says the aim of her role is “to create innovative, effective and high-spec design solutions within the brand, within brief and within budget. I support all departments with both digital and print and make sure our brand stands out from the crowd.”
Here we catch up with Josefine to find out a little more about her.
Career history: I graduated in 2014 from Cass Business School in London with a 2.1 BA in Graphic Design and a nomination for Best In Summer Show. After graduation I began working at a company called Htec Ltd, a payment software and forecourt technology provider. I was hired as their Creative Designer and was the only designer at the company. I rebranded the company twice and gave them a fresh new look for their brand.
Two years later I was hired to be a Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant at Promega, a life science company where I supported the UK branch but also worked with the European branches who needed design assistance. Before Colten, I worked at FSL Group, an office fit-out and furniture design company, giving them a strong new brand.
Interests: I love fashion and shopping. My wardrobe is pretty impressive, if I do say so myself. I love cooking and travelling. Also, I’m a real sucker for champagne! Champagne Fridays anyone?

Q: Who would you most like to be trapped in a lift with?
A: Probably Beyoncé. She can entertain me while we wait.
Q: Who do you most admire?
A: My dad. He lost his family when he was a child and didn’t let that stop him from achieving his dreams and building a strong family. He is very inspiring.
Q: What car do you drive?
A: A white Audi A3 convertible. One of my dream cars.
Q: What makes you angry?
A: I’m not a very angry person, but probably the main thing is being disrespectful. Sometimes I get ‘hangry’ too!

A: At the moment its Love Island….don’t judge.
Q: What is the best thing about your role?
A: Firstly, I get to do what I love for work which is pretty amazing. But I love taking a brief and transforming it into something so cool. Sometimes, what the client probably didn’t imagine, but will love even more.
Q: …And what is the worst?
A: : When you have to explain why you have added certain design elements and they don’t get why and it just looks amazing. Just trust the designer please.
