Welcome to our bumper spring edition. With so much going on, we’ve added four more pages to our usual run.
Our focus is on ‘quality’. It’s evident in our latest success with the Care Quality Commission, an Outstanding rating for Canford Chase. The popular Poole home becomes the fourth of our homes to gain the highest CQC grade, only awarded to the top 3% of care homes in England. This reinforces our status as the top care home group of our size in the country, with 20% of our homes ‘outstanding’.
Quality is also clear in our long-term approach to care. We’re delighted to be reporting the 30th anniversary of Woodpeckers and the countdown to the opening of our 21st home, Bourne View in Poole, with learnings based on our years of experience.
Continual investment in our refurbishment programme also enables us to provide quality care over the long term. Our latest homes to be refurbished include The Aldbury, Whitecliffe House, Brook View, Kingfishers, Canford Chase and Avon Reach.
Team quality is another vital ingredient of care. The huge response to our call for entries for the 2019 Colten Champions shows just how much our team’s dedication and passion is being recognised. Congratulations to all the nominees.
