We have teamed up with the St Barbe museum and art gallery in Lymington to help people living with dementia enjoy paintings by artists such as Constable and Turner.
As part of the exhibition ‘Shoreline Artists on the South Coast’ we are sponsoring a series of October ‘gallery conversations’.
These are specically designed to offer people with dementia or memory loss a welcoming, relaxed opportunity to view and discuss artworks in the company of specially trained experts. The conversations are also open to family members and carers.
The exhibition explores how artists from the 18th century to the present have drawn inspiration from the cliffs, beaches and harbours of the Channel coast.
Tim Wookey, Marketing Director, said: “We are sponsoring and supporting the project as a direct way to make this important exhibition accessible to people with dementia.”
